There is something beautifully simple about traditional liquid soap: real organic oils transformed through the time-honored process of saponification into an effective, uncomplicated cleanser. We kept everything we love about that tradition, and then gave it a little luxury.
Our Liquid Castile Hand Soap begins with a carefully balanced blend of local grass-fed tallow, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, organic castor oil, and organic high-oleic sunflower oil, slowly hot-processed into a true potassium soap. But we didn't stop there.
Once the soap is fully made and hydrated, we finish it with a luxury skin-supporting blend of glycerin, sorbitol, sodium lactate, and sodium PCA, humectant ingredients selected to help attract and retain moisture and create a softer, more comfortable after-feel than you may expect from traditional Castile-style soap.
Glycerin adds another layer of humectancy to the naturally occurring glycerin created during soapmaking. Sorbitol contributes moisture and a smoother, more refined feel. Sodium lactate supports hydration while improving the feel of the finished soap. And Sodium PCA, a component of skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), rounds out the formula with additional humectant support.
The result is everything we want from traditional soap, a satisfying cleanse and beautiful lather, finished with a little extra care for the hands using it.
Because something as ordinary as washing your hands can still give a little something back.
