Application recommendation is no more than 1 tablespoon at absolute most and focus on the scalp. I have recorded a YouTube video to assist with how to apply the treatment for the best outcome. Remember...less is more!
 
I recommend using a clarifying shampoo (I like Acure) as a pre-treatment only if you have been using traditional shampoo and conditioner. If you are using a non toxic shampoo and conditioner, this step can be omitted. A clarifying shampoo removes buildup and prepares the hair and scalp to fully absorb the ingredients of the treatment. I also recommend using a clarifying shampoo to remove treatment as well if you have been using traditional shampoos and conditioner, again, this can be omited if you are already using non toxic hair care products. Castor oil is incredibly viscous, do not apply too much. As with all Essential Homemaker products, less is more. Everything is highly concentrated, and nothing contains fillers. Using too much is simply a waste of product and will not benefit you more, and it will be difficult to wash out.
 
Notes: If you are transitioning or have transitioned to using all natural, non-toxic hair care, you will not need to use the clarifying shampoo. Can be applied to dirty hair. Apple cider vinegar rinses are a great tool to use to keep hair healthy and shiny.
